Adam Reynolds Denies Wests Tigers Rumors, Reaffirms Commitment to Broncos

Veteran halfback Adam Reynolds has shut down speculation linking him to a shock switch to the Wests Tigers, declaring he’s “committed to finishing what he started” at the Brisbane Broncos.

Rumors had swirled in recent weeks that the Tigers were circling the 34-year-old playmaker with a lucrative short-term deal that would see him mentor their young spine. However, Reynolds addressed the reports today, calling them “overblown” and confirming his intentions to remain in Brisbane for the foreseeable future.

> “I’ve heard the talk, but I’ve made no decisions to leave, and I’m not looking anywhere else,” Reynolds said in a press conference following Broncos training on Thursday. “I’m proud of what we’re building here. This club gave me an opportunity, and I want to repay that fully.”

Reynolds, who joined the Broncos in 2022 from South Sydney, has been instrumental in the club’s revival, helping guide them back to finals contention and mentoring a new generation of Broncos talent, including rising stars like Ezra Mam and Reece Walsh.

While Reynolds is off-contract at the end of the 2025 season, sources within the Broncos camp indicate that discussions are already underway to keep the experienced No. 7 in Red Hill in either a reduced playing capacity or a transitional coaching role for 2026.

> “We’d love to keep Adam involved in some capacity,” Broncos head coach Michael Maguire said. “He’s been a leader for this group both on and off the field.”

Reynolds’ clarity comes as a relief for Brisbane fans amid a busy contract season that’s seen several high-profile names — including Selwyn Cobbo and Kotoni Staggs — entering the final year of their deals.

With Reynolds putting to rest the speculation, the Broncos can now focus fully on the business end of the season as they chase a top-four finish and a genuine run at the 2025 premiership.
