Sky Sports share imminent Postecoglou sack news from Tottenham HQ

Tottenham fans are waiting with bated breath to discover whether Ange Postecoglou will be their manager next season.

It’s well known that Postecoglou’s job is on a knife-edge after Tottenham’s poor form in the Premier League this season.

The Australian would argue that delivering the Europa League trophy to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium should be enough to earn him a third season in the Spurs hotseat.

However, several media reports have suggested that this won’t be enough to save Postecoglou’s job.

Sky Sports shares Postecoglou update from Tottenham training ground

A new update from Sky Sports News suggests that Daniel Levy may deliver his verdict by the end of Friday (6 June).

Speaking from Tottenham’s training ground, reporter Michael Bridge shared that both Postecoglou and Levy had returned to the UK after short breaks abroad.

He also emphasised the importance of making a fast decision on the manager’s future so that the club has time to make adequate preparations for the new season.

“Will he get season three? I think we’ll know in the next day or so,” Bridge declared.

Tottenham need to move fast over Postecoglou decision

Tottenham’s Europa League triumph means that they have qualified for next season’s Champions League.

As such, they have been linked with moves with some star players in this summer’s transfer window. Leroy Sane could be on his way to North London, as could Jack Grealish, if reports are to be believed.

However, it’s unlikely that they’ll make any official bids until it’s clear who their manager will be next season.

It would be foolish to throw money at a player that an incoming manager ends up not fancying.

So, for as long as the uncertainty surrounding Postecoglou continues, Tottenham will likely be playing catch-up in their preparations for a new season.

2023-24 5th

Daniel Levy will be aware of this, which is why it would be no surprise to hear of a verdict within the next day or so.

The decision on whether Postecoglou should stay appears to have split Spurs fans, so it’s likely to upset some of them either way.

The most important thing for the club is that it’s made soon.
