Player Ratings: Blues Four-midable in Shrewsbury thrashing

Blues put 4 past Shrewsbury as Leonard stood out, and Alfie got himself back on the scoresheet.

GK + Defense

Ryan Allsop 7

Ping ping ping! The balls to Anderson in the first 45 should have been illegal they were so accurate. His first shot on target against him was bundled in late on but Ryan couldn’t really have done more.

Ethan Laird 7.5

So glad to have him back he’s just rapid down that flank. His header was also all round fantastic, from the positioning to the finish.

Christoph Klarer 8

Dominance from the Blues stand-in captain, Shrewsbury’s strike force couldn’t even bother him.

Ben Davies 7

So glad to see him score his first goal for Blues with a diving swipe at the ball from a KD free kick.

Alex Cochrane 7

Great again! Not really sure what else to say about it really.

MIDFIELD

Marc Leonard 9

Phenomenal player! He took this rare opportunity in a Blue shirt with both hands, definitely the hardest working man for Blues today.

Tomoki Iwata 7

Dominates the midfield so well in every game he plays, Tomoki certainly hasn’t let his O.G at Northampton last week play on his mind!

ATTACK

Kieran Dowell 8

Cracking delivery into the 12 yard area from Kieran to allow Davies to put us ahead. His wicked play was the fulcrum of Blues attacking play in the first half.

Willum Willumsson 8

He looked so much better today, back to the Willum of old (meaning prior to his injury). I hope this isn’t just a blip and Thor can build some positive momentum from this.

Keshi Anderson 6

The play from Anderson was very good in the first half, spotting pockets of play in perfect harmony with Blues’ fellow attacking players.

Jay Stansfield 6

Stanno just has so much in the tank! Relentless in his mad chasing of Shrewsbury players to catch a scrap despite not getting the goal he probably deserved.
