The Parramatta Eels are reportedly nearing the signing of a high-quality edge forward as they continue to reshape their roster ahead of the 2026 NRL season.
According to multiple reports, the club has created significant salary cap flexibility following the expected departure of playmaker Dylan Brown at the end of 2025. The Eels are now using that cap space to pursue a major signing, with insiders describing the target as a “very good edge forward.”
This move is part of a broader recruitment strategy led by new head coach Jason Ryles, who has already begun reshaping the squad with several new signings and contract extensions. Additions such as Josh Addo-Carr, Isaiah Iongi, and Joash Papalii have signaled a clear intent from the Eels to revamp their roster and improve performance after a mixed 2025 campaign.
While the identity of the edge forward remains unconfirmed, sources suggest the deal is progressing well and could be finalized in the coming weeks.
If completed, the signing would provide much-needed depth and experience in Parramatta’s forward pack as they prepare for a fresh push toward finals contention in 2026.
