Parramatta Eels Forward Set for “Significant” Pay Rise as Contract Talks Loom

The Parramatta Eels are preparing to open negotiations with one of their key forwards, with the player in line for a “significant” pay rise following a breakout season in blue and gold.

After establishing himself as a mainstay in the Eels’ forward pack, the hard-running enforcer has attracted attention for his work rate, physicality, and ability to swing momentum through the middle.

Club insiders believe his consistency and impact have elevated him from a reliable squad member to one of the team’s most valuable assets.

The Eels are expected to begin formal contract talks in the coming weeks, with rival clubs monitoring the situation closely. Given the rising salary cap pressures and increased competition for top-tier forwards, Parramatta may be forced to stretch their budget to keep their emerging star.

A Vital Piece of the Pack

Eels officials privately concede that retaining the forward is a priority, particularly as the club looks to build long-term stability around its middle rotation. His ability to play big minutes and handle defensive traffic has eased the load on senior figures, while his development suggests he is only just entering his peak years.

Market Value Rising

NRL recruitment analysts estimate his value has climbed sharply over the past 12 months, with his next deal likely to more than double his current salary. A new contract could push him into the $500,000–$600,000 bracket, reflecting his growth and demand in the player market.

What It Means for the Eels

Locking down the forward will be viewed as a statement of intent from Parramatta, who are balancing a roster featuring established stars and a group of rising talents. Failure to re-sign him could leave the club vulnerable to poaching raids, particularly from rival clubs with more cap flexibility.

Negotiations are expected to intensify before the end of the year, with both the Eels and the player’s management confident of reaching an agreement that rewards his performances while keeping him in blue and gold long-term.
