Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs winger Blake Wilson has confirmed he will depart Belmore at season’s end, signing a two-year contract with the Parramatta Eels.
The move brings to a close Wilson’s stint at the Bulldogs, where he quickly emerged as a promising outside back known for his speed, finishing ability, and willingness to work hard out of his own end.
While opportunities in the top grade were at times limited, Wilson impressed whenever called upon, showing flashes of the potential that caught Parramatta’s attention.

A fresh start in blue and gold
Wilson’s decision to cross to the Eels provides him with a fresh opportunity to cement a permanent first-grade role. With Parramatta continuing to reshape their backline and inject depth on the edges, Wilson is seen as a valuable addition who can provide strike power and competition for wing spots.
Speaking on the move, Wilson expressed both gratitude and excitement:
“I’ll always be thankful to the Bulldogs for giving me my start in the NRL, but I feel this is the right time for a new challenge. Parramatta is a proud club with a huge supporter base, and I’m looking forward to contributing and developing my game further over the next two years.”
Bulldogs wish him well
The Bulldogs released a statement acknowledging Wilson’s contribution and wishing him success at his new club. “Blake has been a fantastic professional and a valued member of our squad. While we’re sad to see him go, we respect his decision and thank him for his time at the Bulldogs,” the statement read.
Eels add depth and spark
For the Eels, Wilson’s arrival comes at a critical time as the club looks to bolster its depth and refine its backline options. Head coach Jason Ryles praised the signing, noting Wilson’s “pace, work ethic, and hunger to establish himself” as qualities that will strengthen the squad heading into the next two seasons.
Fans of the blue and gold will be eager to see how the young winger adapts to his new surroundings and whether he can become a regular feature in Parramatta’s backline.
With the move now confirmed, Wilson’s focus will remain on finishing the year strongly with the Bulldogs before making the switch to join his new teammates at Parramatta.
