Port Vale’s Swiss striker Lorent Tolaj has been named as the winner of April’s award after a prolific month.
Tolaj scored six goals and provided two assists, his goals included a glorious curler against Bradford and a scissor kick at Walsall.
Sky Sports’ pundit Don Goodman said: “April was huge for Port Vale as they looked to seal an immediate return to League One. It was a month of mixed results, but thanks to the form of their front man, Lorent Tolaj, they managed to get over the line. He scored six goals and registered two assists, including a sensational strike that helped them beat promotion rivals Bradford.”
However, Vale manager Darren Moore missed out on the managerial award with Doncaster Rovers’ Grant McCann taking home the award for April.
