London Broncos have continued their Papua New Guinea recruitment by capturing released Castleford Tigers back-rower Jeremiah Simbiken.
The 25-year-old spent just one season at Castleford — registering two tries in 14 games. But his 2025 campaign was heavily affected by injury and suspensions, including a broken arm that kept him out of the final rounds of the regular season.

What this move means
Simbiken will return to the UK with London in 2026, under new head-coach Jason Demetriou.
With his arrival, the Broncos’ Papua New Guinea contingent will rise to six — joining other recruits from PNG already signed by the club.
Though injuries and disciplinary issues limited his time at Castleford, the Broncos seem willing to give him a second chance — hoping he can fulfil his potential, especially when fit.
The bigger picture
The signing fits into London’s broader recruitment drive under new ownership and management, aimed at building a squad capable of fighting for promotion back to the top tier.
They are blending international recruits and experienced forwards to strengthen their pack and compete in the Championship — with hopes of returning to the Super League in the near future.
If you like — I can pull up Simbiken’s full playing history and career stats (appearances, tries, injuries, suspensions) — might give a better sense of whether this is a “hidden gem” or a high-risk gamble.
