The Penrith Panthers have confirmed that star fullback Dylan Edwards will miss up to three weeks after suffering a groin strain.
The injury was sustained during training ahead of the Panthers’ upcoming NRL fixture. After medical assessment, the club announced that Edwards would be sidelined to allow proper recovery.
> “It’s a minor strain, but we’re taking a cautious approach to make sure Dylan comes back at full strength,” said a Panthers spokesperson.
Edwards has been a key figure in the Panthers’ backline, known for his consistency, safe hands under the high ball, and strong kick returns. His absence is a significant blow as Penrith aim to maintain momentum heading into the middle of the season.
The Panthers are expected to reshuffle their backline, with rookie or reserve options likely to step in during his recovery.
