Newcastle Knights half-back Jake Arthur will play for Hull FC in the 2026 season.
The 22-year-old half-back, the son of Leeds Rhinos head coach Brad Arthur, has signed a two-year deal with the Black and Whites, beginning next year.
Arthur began his career with Parramatta Eels under his father, scoring three tries in 20 appearances from 2021 to 2023 – including one in the 2022 Grand Final defeat by Penrith Panthers.
The Cairns-born player signed a three-year contract with Manly in 2023 but made no appearances for them in 2024, instead turning out in reserve-grade football with Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles.
He returned to the Manly first team in May this year but was then released from his contract to join Newcastle.
The playmaker, who can also play in the backs, said: “Hull play a real tough brand of footy. I’ll be looking to come in and try and take a bit of the pressure off Aidan [Sezer] and steer the team around the park.”
Director of rugby Gareth Ellis said: “Jake is a young, hungry player, who has all of the attributes and traits to make a great Super League player.”
