The past couple of seasons have seen Penn State recruit and develop some big-time players at a variety of positions, but one position that continues to lag behind the others has seemingly been wide receiver. Penn State’s efforts in the Class of 2026 to find a wide receiver took a bit of a hit going into the weekend with the decommitment of three-star receiver Jerquaden Guilford.
Guilford took to social media to announce he is backing out of his commitment to the Nittany Lions as he continues to receive offers from around the country, including some stiff Big Ten competition. Guilford committed to Penn State in December but said he feels he needs to take some more time to fully evaluate his college decision before making any final official decisions.
