In a surprising move for the Phoenix Suns, the team has announced that former defender, R. O’Neale has extended his contract for the 2025/26 season. The R. O’Neale who joined the Suns in 2015 has played a crucial role in the team’s defense, bringing veteran experience and defensive prowess to the lineup.

The R. O’Neale known for his tenacity and leadership on the court, has been a key player in solidifying the Suns’ defensive strategies, often matching up against some of the toughest offensive players in the league. His extension reflects the team’s commitment to building a balanced and competitive squad for the upcoming season.

While his offensive contributions have been vital, it’s been his defensive work that has made the biggest impact, providing consistency and stability to Phoenix’s game plan. Fans of the Suns have voiced their excitement over the extension, hoping it will strengthen the team’s chances in the highly competitive Western Conference.

General Manager expressed his satisfaction with the extension, saying, “Having R. O’Neale stay with the Suns for another season was a priority for us. His presence both on and off the court is invaluable to the team’s success.”

The Suns will now shift their focus to bolstering other areas of the roster as they look to continue building a contender for the 2025/26

season.
