Parramatta has landed a major coup, signing rising star Tallyn Da Silva on a five-year deal reportedly worth up to $2.5 million.
The 20-year-old hooker, one of the NRL’s most exciting young talents, has committed to the Eels through to the end of 2029, making it one of the most significant investments in Parramatta’s future in recent years.
Da Silva, who came through the Roosters system and briefly played for the Wests Tigers, brings energy, speed, and creativity to the spine — all key ingredients Parramatta has been seeking to rebuild around.
> “Tallyn is a very talented hooker with great skills and a strong running game, which complements our squad nicely,” said GM of Football Mark O’Neill.
“He fits perfectly with the brand of football Jason Ryles is building at this club.”
While the Eels have had a tough season, this major signing is seen as a turning point. Da Silva is expected to challenge for the starting hooker role immediately and be a long-term piece of Parramatta’s premiership puzzle.
The club has also added experienced utility Dylan Walker and locked in key re-signings including Will Penisini, Ronald Volkman, and Toni Mataele.
Fans are now hoping this investment will spark a strong finish to 2025 and bring the Eels back into serious contention.
