The Penrith Panthers have pulled off a major signing by securing 21-year-old Brisbane Broncos fullback Blake Mozer on a permanent deal ahead of the 2026 NRL season.
Mozer, a highly rated young talent coming through the Broncos system, has long been seen as a star of the future. Originally a hooker, Mozer has spent time at fullback in recent seasons and impressed with his speed, ball-playing ability, and defensive awareness — traits that have caught the attention of several rival clubs.
With limited first-grade opportunities behind Reece Walsh at Brisbane, Mozer has opted to make the switch to Penrith, where he will be given a fresh opportunity to develop under coach Ivan Cleary. The Panthers are believed to see him as a long-term utility option with potential to push for a starting spot, particularly as the club looks to manage the workload of star fullback Dylan Edwards.
