In a stunning late-season coup, the Penrith Panthers have officially landed Wests Tigers enforcer Terrell May on a blockbuster four-year deal reportedly worth $4.2 million.
The deal, confirmed by multiple club sources late Thursday night, marks one of the most significant forward acquisitions in the Panthers’ modern era.
> “Terrell is a game-changer. His engine, physicality and consistency are exactly what we value at Penrith,” said Panthers head coach Ivan Cleary.
May, 25, has been one of the standout forwards of the 2025 NRL season, leading the league in post-contact metres and tackles for much of the year.
The $1.05 million-per-season deal is understood to include performance bonuses and marquee incentives—making him one of the highest-paid front-rowers in the game.
The move signals Penrith’s intent to stay at the top after four consecutive Grand Final appearances. May is expected to slot straight into their forward pack from 2026, replacing veteran James Fisher-Harris, who is set to depart for Super League.
