The Sydney Roosters have handed down a major financial penalty to star forward Victor Radley, fining him $30,000 and suspending his salary for 10 matches. The punishment comes after off-field incidents that the club says brought the Roosters into disrepute.
Radley, known for his aggressive playing style, has expressed remorse and vowed to win back the trust of his teammates, fans, and club officials.
“I understand the consequences of my actions and accept the club’s decision,” Radley said in a statement. “I’m committed to doing better and earning back the respect of those around me.”
The Roosters emphasized that this was a strong stance on professionalism and player conduct, sending a clear message that behavior off the field matters just as much as performance on it.
Radley will be eligible to return once his 10-game suspension ends, and his future at the club remains secure — for now.
