In an unexpected and thrilling turn of events, legendary rock frontman Robert Plant has officially announced a reunion tour with the original members of Led Zeppelin, alongside Jason Bonham, son of the late John Bonham, in place of his father.
The highly anticipated tour, named “Celebration of the Spirit: Led Zeppelin Reunited,” will kick off in 2025, marking the band’s return to the stage after decades of anticipation from fans worldwide. The lineup will include Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer Jason Bonham, who has been a longtime collaborator and tribute to his father’s legacy.
Plant, known for his soulful vocals and commanding stage presence, shared his excitement for the tour in a statement, saying, “The spirit of Led Zeppelin has never faded. We’ve always felt the music and the passion that we shared with our fans. Now, it’s time to bring that energy back, with Jason Bonham leading us forward.”
The tour is expected to include the band’s classic hits, including “Stairway to Heaven,” “Whole Lotta Love,” and “Kashmir,” along with some surprises for die-hard Zeppelin fans.
Jason Bonham, who has toured with his father’s bandmates before, expressed his honor in stepping into his father’s iconic role, saying, “It’s a privilege to carry on my father’s legacy with these legends. We’re not just playing music; we’re celebrating the essence of rock and roll.”
