Parramatta Eels have received a timely boost with outside back Bailey Simonsson officially cleared to return to full fitness ahead of the NRL finals run. After an extended stint on the sidelines recovering from a foot and ACL injury, Simonsson has completed full contact training and is now available for selection.
The 26-year-old brings valuable speed, defensive reliability, and experience to the Eels’ backline—assets that will be critical as the club pushes for a spot in the top eight. His return adds depth and balance to the outside backs, offering coach Brad Arthur increased flexibility as the team navigates the closing rounds of the regular season.
Simonsson last featured for the Eels prior to sustaining the injury earlier in the year. His recovery has been carefully managed by the club’s medical staff, who have confirmed he is now match-ready and performing strongly in training sessions.
The Eels are expected to name Simonsson in their extended squad for the upcoming clash, with fans hopeful his return can provide the spark needed to propel the team into finals contention.
