Signings tracker: Blake Wilson joins Sea Eagles after limited opportunities at Bulldogs

The NRL market is heating up with the Sea Eagles signing a winger from a rival Sydney club.

The Sea Eagles have added some depth to their outside back stocks after they signed former Bulldogs winger Blake Wilson for the next two seasons.

Wilson played 27 NRL games across the past three seasons for Canterbury but was limited to just six appearances in 2025, with the winger spending most of the year in reserve grade where he scored 12 tries in 15 matches.

But he gets a fresh crack on the northern beaches at a club that has lost Tommy Talau and Ray Vaega for 2026, with Wilson to put pressure on guys like Jason Saab for a spot in the back five.

“It’s an exciting move for me and one that I’m really looking forward to,” he said.

“I look forward to meeting my new teammates and all the staff. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the club.

“Being from Noosa, the coastal lifestyle is also a big plus for us.”

The Sea Eagles begin pre-season training on November 7, with players to gradually come back over the following three weeks.

Wilson will be one of those looking to impress over summer, with coach Anthony Seibold to reward strong performances after his side missed the top eight.

“Blake is a talented winger who is good at his craft and who knows his way to the tryline,” Seibold said.

“He joins us looking for a new opportunity and will add further depth and quality to our outside backs.

“We’re thrilled to have Blake on board.”
