The Parramatta Eels have confirmed that key players Will Penisini, Sam Tuivaiti, Toni Mataele, and Ronald Volkman will remain with the club, securing their futures for the upcoming 2025 NRL season.
Penisini, one of the team’s most exciting talents in the centre position, has extended his contract, much to the delight of Eels fans. The 21-year-old has quickly established himself as a reliable and dynamic force in the backline and will be a vital part of the team’s plans moving forward.
In addition to Penisini, forwards Sam Tuivaiti and Toni Mataele have also committed to the Eels for the next season. Tuivaiti, known for his hard-hitting runs and defensive work, brings power and aggression to the forward pack. Mataele, who has impressed with his speed and agility, adds extra depth to the team’s edge positions.
Playmaker Ronald Volkman has also re-signed, ensuring that Parramatta will maintain strong creativity in the halves. The 22-year-old has shown immense promise in his debut seasons, and his combination with the forwards will be crucial in driving the team’s attacking plays.
Head coach Brad Arthur expressed his excitement about the re-signings: “We’re thrilled to keep these young men at the club. Each one of them has shown exceptional talent and commitment, and we believe they will continue to grow as integral parts of our squad.”
These re-signings are a boost for the Eels as they aim to build a competitive side for 2025, with a solid mix of experienced players and emerging stars. Fans will no doubt be hoping this stability translates into more success on the field in the new season.
