The Parramatta Eels have pulled off a major mid-season coup, officially signing promising young hooker Tallyn Da Silva on a long-term deal that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2029 NRL season.
Da Silva, who developed through the Wests Tigers system, was initially brought in as a short-term option but impressed Eels management enough to earn a permanent spot in the club’s future plans. Known for his sharp dummy-half work and high football IQ, the 20-year-old is expected to provide key depth behind veteran rake Api Koroisau and eventually challenge for a starting role.
The signing is part of a broader youth-focused strategy at Parramatta as the club looks to rebuild and strengthen its roster following a difficult season. Currently sitting 15th on the ladder, the Eels are investing in long-term talent with hopes of returning to finals contention in the coming years.
Eels General Manager of Football, Mark O’Neill, praised Da Silva’s character and work ethic, calling him “a future leader of the club.”
