Penrith Panthers is pleased to announce that Jaxen Edgar has signed a contract upgrade and extension with the club.

Not only has Edgar been promoted to the Top 30 for the 2026 season, the promising young fullback also extended his contract until the end of 2028.

A standout talent progressing through the Panthers’ junior pathways, Edgar impressed when he went from 18th man to making his NRL debut in Round 26 against the Bulldogs.

Jaxen is testament to the success of our clubs pathway system, and we are excited to see what the future holds for him with the Panthers.

Shane Elford, Panthers General Manager of Football

Over the past year, Edgar has gained valuable experience in the NSW Cup, competing against seasoned players five to ten years his senior.

His strong performances saw him named the NSWRL Harold Matthews Cup Player of the Year in 2023 and selected in the 2023 Australian Schoolboys team.

“He is an exceptional young talent with a strong work ethic and a great attitude towards his development. He’s shown tremendous growth, and we believe he has a very bright future in the game,” Panthers General Manager of Football Shane Elford said.
