The wait is officially over.
Daly Cherry-Evans will don the tri-colours in 2026 after an illustrious 352-game career with the Sea Eagles.
The 36-year-old has been courted by powerbrokers at the Sydney Roosters for the best part of a year, but only now has pen officially gone to paper.
After winning the premiership in 2011, earning a Clive Churchill Medal in 2013 in a losing side, captaining his state and representing his country, Cherry-Evans will likely finish his playing days in the Eastern Suburbs.
Roosters head coach Trent Robinson spoke glowingly about the impact the man known as ‘DCE’ will have on their football club.
“Daly’s experience and understanding of the game will be a strong addition to our group,” he said.
“We’re excited to welcome him to the Roosters.
“I’m looking forward to working with him.”
Cherry-Evans is expected to begin training with the Roosters squad later this month, where he will join a halves depth chart which includes Sam Walker, Hugo Savala and Toby Rodwell.
