The Brisbane Broncos have secured the services of rising star Cory Paix, signing the hooker to a new contract extension reportedly worth $400,000 per year.
The deal reflects Paix’s growing importance in the squad under coach Michael Maguire, who has elevated the 25-year-old to a central role in the team’s spine. Paix has impressed with his consistent defensive work rate and sharp service out of dummy-half, stepping up during a critical transition phase for the club.
Club insiders confirmed that the new contract will run through the end of the 2027 season, giving the Broncos stability at the No. 9 position amid ongoing changes in their halves and forward rotations.
