In a dramatic turn of events, English international Dom Young has officially joined the Penrith Panthers on a blockbuster $2.5 million contract, keeping him at the club until at least the end of the 2027 season. The highly-rated winger was granted an immediate release from his contract with the Sydney Roosters, making way for his high-profile switch to the Panthers.

Young, 21, has been one of the NRL’s standout performers in recent years, first rising to prominence with the Newcastle Knights before securing a move to the Roosters. Now, with his future firmly set at Penrith, the explosive winger is ready to bring his speed, power, and try-scoring ability to one of the most successful teams in the NRL.

The Contract Deal
While Penrith has yet to confirm the finer details, sources close to the deal have revealed that the contract is valued at $2.5 million over four years, making it one of the largest contracts in recent Panthers history. The move further solidifies Penrith’s commitment to maintaining a championship-caliber squad, with Young expected to be a key figure in their future successes.

A Bright Future at Penrith
For Dom Young, this move represents an exciting new chapter in his career. Known for his lightning-fast pace and knack for finishing tries, he will add a new dimension to Penrith’s already potent attack. With a strong squad and a winning culture at Penrith, Young will be eager to help the club continue its dominance in the NRL.

Why Penrith?
Penrith’s track record of developing and nurturing top-tier talent played a major role in Young’s decision. The Panthers, fresh off back-to-back premierships in 2021 and 2022, remain one of the NRL’s most formidable teams. Young will be joining a club with a winning mentality and an infrastructure focused on achieving long-term success.

Stay tuned for more updates as we learn more about Dom Young’s future with the Penrith Panthers.
