The Houston Texans’ rookie wide receivers Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel are already turning heads at OTAs, and NFL analysts are not holding back their opinions.
NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah called Higgins “a physically imposing target who’s showing polish beyond his years,” praising the former Iowa State standout’s ability to win contested catches and create separation downfield. “He looks like a future WR2 with WR1 upside if developed correctly,” Jeremiah added.
On the other hand, Jaylin Noel, known for his quickness and route-running precision, is drawing comparisons to former Texans slot star Keke Coutee — but with more upside. ESPN’s Mina Kimes noted, “Noel’s suddenness and football IQ are already earning him first-team reps in practice. If he keeps this up, he could be one of the steals of the draft.”
Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans also expressed optimism: “Both Higgins and Noel have shown they belong. They’re learning fast, competing hard, and we’re excited about what they bring to this offense.”
With expectations growing and fan excitement building, all eyes will be on these two rookies as training camp approaches.
