Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita has publicly responded to swirling transfer rumors linking him to the Alabama Crimson Tide, firmly stating that he has not had any direct or indirect contact with Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer or his staff.
> “I’ve seen the talk online,” Fifita said in a recent interview. “But I never spoke to Coach DeBoer or anyone from his camp. I’m fully focused on Arizona.”
The rumors, which circulated heavily on social media and message boards in June, claimed Alabama was attempting to lure Fifita via back channels—a form of tampering prohibited by NCAA rules. However, both the player and Alabama’s program have denied any contact occurred.
No formal complaints have been filed, and the NCAA has made no indication that an investigation is underway.
