A RUGBY LEAGUE icon will be in attendance for Bradford’s match at London Broncos today.
The Bulls travel to the capital for a 4pm kick-off and none other than Darren Lockyer will be their to witness the showdown between the two clubs at at The Cherry Red Records Stadium.
Regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, the Australian spent his entire career with Brisbane Broncos captaining the team through one of its most successful periods and he remains the club’s record appearance holder.
The 48-year-old World Cup winner also holds records at international and origin levels further cementing his place as one of the sport’s true icons.

The reason for Lockyer’s visit is that he’s flying over from Australia with long-term business partner Grant Wechsel with an eye on taking over the Broncos, as they look to cement a solid bid to return to the Super League.
Long-time Leeds Rhinos chief executive Gary Hetherington took control of London in May and instantly set about finding a new ownership group to bolster their chances.
Lockyer will now assess whether investment in the Broncos is a viable prospect.
