In a major mid-season coup, the Parramatta Eels have secured the signature of rising star Tallyn Da Silva on a four-and-a-half-year contract reportedly worth $2.5 million. The 20-year-old hooker makes the immediate switch from the Wests Tigers, joining the Eels’ roster as coach Jason Ryles reshapes his spine for the future.
Da Silva, considered one of the brightest young talents in the NRL, was at the centre of a four-club bidding war before committing to Parramatta. His deal runs through the end of the 2029 season, underscoring the Eels’ long-term commitment to developing young talent in key positions.
Club officials have praised Da Silva’s maturity and dynamic playing style, with Eels GM of Football Mark O’Neill calling him “a key piece of our future who brings both skill and toughness.”
The move signals an aggressive recruitment push by Parramatta as they aim to re-enter premiership contention following a rocky start to the 2025 season.
