The Wests Tigers have officially signed promising winger Taylan May to a three-year contract, locking him in at the club through to the end of the 2027 season. The deal is reportedly worth $2 million, marking a significant investment in the young talent.
May initially joined the Tigers on a train-and-trial contract for the 2025 NRL season, impressing coaches with his speed, agility, and strong performances in both first grade and NSW Cup matches. His brother, Terrell May, also a Tigers player, helped pave the way for Taylan’s rise within the club.
Following a standout 2025 campaign, the Tigers moved quickly to secure May on a full-time deal. The three-year contract not only reflects the club’s confidence in his potential but also underscores their commitment to building a competitive squad for the coming seasons.
“We are thrilled to have Taylan committed long-term,” said Tigers coach Mick Potter. “He’s shown great development and has a bright future here. This contract rewards his hard work and talent.”
May himself expressed his excitement: “It’s been a fantastic year, and I’m grateful to the Tigers for believing in me. I’m ready to give my all and help the team push for success.”
The $2 million deal places May among the club’s key players, and fans will be watching closely to see how he continues to evolve in the next three years.
