Caitlin Clark took to Instagram on Thursday night to share some of her favorite moments from her much-talked-about golf pro-am debut.
The Indiana Fever star posted a series of photos capturing her incredible experience throughout The ANNIKA pro-am tournament in Belleair, Florida on Wednesday.
The post quickly blew up, amassing close to 90,000 likes within two hours (as of writing). There were tons of comments as well, which included a hilarious jab from Fever guard Grace Berger.
According to Berger, the photos led her to believe that Clark was actually a good golfer. Well, almost.
“if I hadn’t seen the video of the shank these photos would’ve convinced me that you could beat me,” Berger wrote in the comments section.
For context, Berger was a state champion golfer in high school. In a recent interview, Clark took a shot at her Fever teammate by joking that Berger was afraid of her.
“Actually, one of my teammates was a state champion golfer, so she’s pretty good,” Clark said. “I actually haven’t played with her yet. I think she might be scared or something, I don’t know why. Her game must have gotten rusty when she became a professional basketball player.”
As it turns out, Berger was waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike, and she deemed Clark’s Instagram post on Thursday night the right time to clap back at her Fever teammate.
Just a reminder that @CaitlinClark22 is mortal. She is an absolute delight to follow- talking with fans, making jokes and having a good time.
So happy she is out here playing the Pelican Club. pic.twitter.com/CPZxZ3WrXs

Indiana star Aliyah Boston joined in on the fun by commenting on Berger’s shot.
“@graceberger_ why are you so funny” wrote the two-time All-Star.
Clark is not the type to back down from these types of banter, so she will likely want to respond to Berger’s statement here. Either way, it’s all in good fun.
