The Minnesota Vikings were red-hot when they won their first five games to start the 2024 NFL season, but they have now lost two in a row and are dealing with some injuries.
In particular, starting left tackle Christian Darrisaw is out for the season after tearing the ACL and MCL in his left knee in the Week 8 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
In response, the Vikings recently acquired left tackle Cam Robinson in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars to shore up that position, and he said he’s excited to join his new team.
“Just kind of get out here and get my feet wet with the guys, get used to a new verbiage, get used to my new teammates so it was a good one. … It’s a great opportunity,” Robinson said, via The Purple Persuasion.

Robinson is in his eighth NFL season as a second-round pick from the 2017 NFL Draft.
He is in the last year of his contract, which will pay him $16.25 million this season, so he may not be a long-term solution for the Vikings past 2024.
The Vikings also have been dealing with the knee injury tight end T.J. Hockenson suffered late last season that has kept him out since, but he is in line to return to action in Week 9 against the Indianapolis Colts.
He had 95 receptions, 960 yards and five touchdowns last season for Minnesota, and the fact that it has played as well as it has this year without him is impressive.
Getting him back healthy will only help the Vikings’ efforts to finish the year strong and compete in the NFC North, something that most considered to be improbable when this season started.
