Recent reports indicate that the Roosters are keeping the possibility of reuniting with star outside backs Joey Manu and Joseph Suaalii open, even though both are currently committed to rugby union contracts.

As per The Sporting News, the club is proactively managing its salary cap flexibility in anticipation of a potential opportunity to bring one or both players back to the NRL in the future.
Both Manu and Suaalii left the Roosters to take up rugby union opportunities; Suaalii signed a deal with Rugby Australia that runs through to the end of 2027, which includes a player option that could extend his contract until 2029.
Manu has recently secured a contract with French Top 14 team Racing 92, also valid until the end of 2027.
Although neither player is likely to return soon, insiders believe Manu has a more realistic chance of rejoining, owing to his longstanding ties with the Roosters and his established prowess in the centres at the NRL level.
The Roosters’ strategic long-term planning suggests they are ready to capitalize on any shifts in circumstances, particularly since both players remain in their prime and have the potential to significantly enhance the team’s backline.
