The Detroit Pistons snuck by the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night, earning an impressive but close 122-121 win.
It was a big accomplishment for several reasons, including what it did to their track record.
The Pistons are now 4-6 for the year, which might not seem significant to some people.
However, Courtside Buzz pointed out that it took the Pistons 40 games last season before they had four wins.
Although the Pistons aren’t as great as they’d like to be, they are clearly making improvements.
It’s hard to imagine that this was the same team that had a 4-36 at one point last season.
They have obviously made some massive advances.
With new players and a fresh coaching staff, the Pistons are finally exciting again.
They’re not where they want to be yet and they will still have to probably fight hard to reach the Play-In tournament or playoffs.
But no one can deny the Pistons are improving.
Every season, a few teams perform better than expected, surprise people, and make some noise in their conference.
Detroit could be one of those teams this year.
During Friday’s game, a few players made an impact.
The Detroit Pistons are 4-6 through the first 10 games of the 2024-25 season.
It took them FORTY GAMES to get 4 wins in the 2023-24 season, when they went 4-36 😳

Cade Cunningham was sensational again with his 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists, while Tobias Harris and Malik Beasley posted 22 points each.
Jaden Ivey, Simone Fontechhio, and Isaiah Stewart also chipped into the one-point victory.
When watching the game, fans noted that the players looked fired up, really engaged, and dedicated to one another.
That’s because they know they are getting better – and their track record backs that up.
