Norwich City v Charlton Athletic team news and line-ups

Matej Jurasek is back in the Norwich City starting line-up this afternoon, but Josh Sargent is still out with a concussion.

Although the American has now completed the EFL’s concussion protocols, he continues to feel the effects of a clash of heads in a 1-1 draw with Sheffield United.

In-form Jovon Makama starts up front in his place, having found the net three times in his last two games, with Jurasek flanking him on the right. Anis Ben Slimane also makes a rare appearance in the line-up, replacing Jacob Wright in midfield.

Amankwah Forson is absent after suffering a hamstring injury against Preston. Wright drops to the bench, where he’s joined by the returning Lucien Mahovo and Liam Gibbs.

Shane Duffy is expected to miss a larger portion of time than Forson with a hamstring issue that won’t require surgery.

Gabriel Forsyth, Jeffrey Schlupp and Papa Amadou Diallo are not expected to be in contention for the upcoming games. Head coach Philippe Clement did offer a positive update on the Senegalese winger, indicating he could be poised for an early return in the new year.

Norwich fan and former academy star Sonny Carey starts for the visitors, although Onel Hernandez is missing with injury.
