As if Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark’s record-breaking rookie resume wasn’t already impressive enough, StatMamba tweeted out a statistic that really puts Clark’s greatness into perspective.

Clark had an all-time career at the University of Iowa, becoming the NCAA Division I leader in points (3,951) and the women’s all-time leader in made 3-pointers (548) and made field goals (1,293), plus becoming the first woman in NCAA history to lead Division I in points in three different seasons and points and assists in the same season.

That success carried over into the WNBA, where Clark broke several rookie records including single-season points (769), assists (337) and double-doubles (14) as well as single-game records for assists (19) and made 3-pointers (7).

And while that all is impressive, perhaps Clark’s most eye-opening accomplishment, as StatMamba pointed out, came in the fact that she became the first player in NBA/WNBA history to lead the NCAA in assists per game during their final college season (8.9) and also their rookie season in the league (8.4).

Clark is also the first player in WNBA history to lead the league in assists per game and made 3-pointers (122) in a single season.

The 22-year-old phenom earned her fourth Rookie of the Month honor in September after averaging 22.5 points, 9.1 assists, and 5.6 rebounds per game. She also received the honor in May, July and August, making her just the seventh rookie to win the award at least four times.
