Michigan football has been working on bringing in a stud cornerback to add to its defensive backfield in 2025 after losing both Will Johnson and Aamir Hall following the 2024 season.
However, after striking out on Emmanuel Karnley and Ryland Gandy, the Wolverines are getting some interest from a Big Ten cornerback who played in all 13 of games that Washington had this season.
2020 Paramount (Calif.) cornerback Thaddeus Dixon was unranked coming out of high school but went the junior college route and was the No. 31 JuCo player in 2023 according to the 247Sports Composite. He landed in Washington where he accumulated 69 tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble in two seasons with the Huskies. PFF has Dixon as the 63rd cornerback in 2024 according to defensive grade (78.6).
On3 has Dixon as the No. 1 cornerback currently in the transfer portal and he’s considering Michigan football, Tennessee, North Carolina, Ole Miss, or a return to Washington, according to Hayes Fawcett.

With Washington likely to land Arizona standout Tacario Davis, that could preclude him from returning to Seattle. Given Michigan’s need as well as NIL factors, we’ll see if the Wolverines make a strong push for him.
Dixon is listed at 6-foot-1, 185 pounds and could have more than one year of eligibility remaining given the current lawsuit against the NCAA regarding former junior college players.
