How to watch the Baltimore Ravens documentary by Netflix

The next installment in the Peabody and Emmy Award-winning 30 for 30 series, “Bullies of Baltimore,” is set to debut this weekend. The documentary is executive produced by ESPN Films in association with NFL Films.

Ravens Urged to Make Major CB Move

When is it airing and how can I watch it?

“Bullies of Baltimore” will be available starting Sunday at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. The film will be made available on ESPN+ immediately after its premiere, along with the rest of the 30 for 30 library.

What is it about?

The Baltimore Ravens once had arguably the most dominating defensive team in NFL history — and perhaps the most entertaining club pro football has ever seen. ESPN Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley writes: “Known then as the transplanted franchise from Cleveland, the Ravens had never produced a winning season or clinched a playoff bid in their first four seasons. In 2000, Baltimore’s identity was forged by 11 bullies on defense who weren’t just bent on shutting out teams. They wanted to punish you with every drive-you-in-the-turf sack and swarming gang tackle behind the line of scrimmage. Their NFL records for fewest points (165) and rushing yards (970) in a 16-game season have never been threatened. The one offensive touchdown allowed is the fewest ever in four postseason games.”

Now, a little more than two decades after one extraordinary season etched their legacy for all time, the documentary tells the story of a Super Bowl champion for the ages. The new 30 for 30 offers a lively and colorful look back at the Baltimore Ravens’ magical 2000 season, framed by a reunion of its key figures filmed in front of a live audience in Baltimore in May 2022. The film features commentary from Shannon Sharpe, the late Tony Siragusa, Brian Billick, Trent Dilfer, Ray Lewis, Rod Woodson, Jamal Lewis, Marvin Lewis, Kevin Byrne and Jack Del Rio.

What other projects has ESPN Films produced?

ESPN Films has been an industry leader in documentary filmmaking since its inception in March 2008, producing more than 100 documentaries that have showcased some of the most compelling stories in sports. The quality of storytelling, highlighted by the 30 for 30 series and the Academy Award-winning documentary “O.J.: Made in America,” has led to record viewership as well as multiple honors and critical acclaim. Additional projects from ESPN Films over the years have included 30 for 30 Shorts, Nine for IX, SEC Storied and the Emmy-winning docuseries “The Last Dance.”
