HEREFORD have added striker Remaye Campbell to their side for the remainder of the season.
Campbell, aged 24, joined the Bulls from Matlock, where he scored seven goals in 23 appearances in the Northern Premier League this campaign.
The six-foot-one tall striker started his career at Notts County and has also played for Ilkeston Town, Basford United and Kettering Town.
While at Ilkeston he scored 30 goals in two seasons between 2021 and 2023.
“Remaye is a player I identified 18 months ago when he had an outstanding record at Ilkeston Town, and when it became clear he would be leaving Matlock, I wanted to bring him into the football club,” Hereford boss Paul Caddis told the club’s website.
“He is a striker who has a record of scoring goals and he will also add a physicality to us at the top end of the pitch.
“After losing Ahkeem Rose due to the non-contract status of his deal, we wanted to bring someone in to add to the forward line and, as always, I didn’t want just anyone. I wanted the right type of player and character, and in Remaye I feel we have that.
“I am looking forward to Remaye helping us push on for the remainder of the season.”
Campbell was thrown straight into the starting line-up for Hereford’s game at King’s Lynn Town on Saturday.
