Head Coach of the Broncos has signed for another two-seasons

Scott Prince will stay on as Head Coach of the Broncos NRLW squad for another two-seasons, having signed a contract extension until the end of 2027.

Prince – who played 50 games for the Broncos– started in the role in 2023 after he served as an assistant coach in the Club’s 2018 and 2022 campaigns.

The former Maroons and Kangaroos representative has coached the squad to two consecutive semi-finals.

He was named NRLW Coach of the Year in 2024, when the squad won the minor premiership.

Prince said he’s enjoyed the journey so far but has a bigger goal to achieve.

“I’m very honoured and grateful for the opportunity once again,” he said.

It still feels like there is unfinished business to take care of.

“I know the coaching staff and players are working extremely hard to achieve our goal.”

Throughout his 16-year NRL career, Prince said he always had an inkling that he would coach after he retired in 2013.

Despite working at the Club since then, he said he didn’t expect his coaching career to happen the way it has.

“I had a goal and a passion about coaching as a player but never in my wildest dreams would I have thought [it would happen], especially in the women’s space,” Prince said.

“I’m keen and happy to be involved in sharing my knowledge and my experiences with these incredible athletes who are forging their own careers.

“I’m not naïve to think that they’re learning just off me, I play a small role in their development, both on and off the field.

“Again, I’m just very, very grateful and privileged to do that.”

Scott Prince said he has "unfinished business" in coaching the Broncos NRLW squad.

Head of the NRLW program, Paul Dyer said he’s thrilled to have Prince extend his time at the Club.

Scott has one of the sharpest tactical football brains I have seen in my time involved in the game.

“But what has been most pleasing for me to watch over the last few seasons is his development as a leader and manager of people.

“Scott has a fantastic rapport with the playing group and has a real passion for trying to improve them individually, so collectively we can continue to drive a world-class, high-performance program that our Club, members and sponsors can be proud of.

“What is even more exciting, is that he is by no means the finished product, he has a real thirst for success, continues to learn, grow and develop as a coach.”
