On Friday night, Haiden Deegan, 19, was arrested in Walton County, Florida, and booked at 11:29 p.m. for violating street racing and stunt driving laws, a misdemeanor crime.
He was released at 1:23 a.m. Saturday after posting a $1,000 cash / professional bond. The incident occurred at 9:58 p.m.
Deegan posted the booking history as an Instagram story, which disappear 24 hours after posting. Deegan apparently altered the screenshot with the notation “Certified stunt driver” and a laughing till-you-cry emoji.
Update: According to WJHG.com, the NBC affiliate in Panama City, Florida, the incident occurred in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, when a Walton County Sheriff deputy heard tires squealing at the Walton Sports Complex. He then observed a gray sports car doing donuts in a lane that was also used to drive into the complex.
Deegan had an unnamed passenger in the car.
After the deputy employed lights and a siren, Deegan completed another full rotation with his car before coming to a stop.
Deegan’s car was towed away and put on a 30-day hold. On Sunday, Deegan posted a montage of his car on TikTok at a gas station with the tagline “temporarily unavailable.”
On Sunday, Deegan posted an image of his mugshot on a t-shirt and hoodie on Instagram, with the notation “Dropping tomorrow 12 pm pst.”
Deegan currently leads the Monster Energy 250 West championship by 12 points over Julien Beaumer.
