Castleford bring in hooker Doolan

The 22-year-old joins new head coach Ryan Carr’s Tigers squad for the 2026 season, having most recently had a spell with Championship side Barrow Raiders.

The Englishman came through the academy before spending a year in Australia with South Sydney Rabbitohs on a trial and train contract.

“I’m over the moon to have got the deal sorted,” he told the club’s website., external

“It’s a huge opportunity for me to really kick on and develop as a player, with good players and coaching staff around me.”

Part of a Broader Recruitment Drive

Doolan’s arrival is the latest in a series of moves aimed at reshaping the Tigers’ roster. Castleford have focused on adding players who can contribute immediately while also helping guide younger talent through a demanding Super League campaign.

The club believes strengthening key positions will be crucial in building resilience and improving results.

Looking Ahead

With pre-season preparations continuing, Doolan will now look to settle quickly and push for a regular role in the Tigers’ matchday squad.

An official unveiling is expected shortly, with fans eager to see how the new hooker fits into Castleford’s plans moving forward.
