Setting WNBA records is starting to become second nature to Caitlin Clark.

The Indiana Fever rookie star is coming off a strong performance against the Minnesota Lynx despite the 90-80 loss on Aug. 24.

She scored 20 or more points for the fourth consecutive game, finishing with 23 points, eight assists, and five rebounds on 8-of-18 shooting from the field.

After the game, she reached 520 points, 240 assists, and 81 three-pointers on the season and became the first player in WNBA history to achieve those numbers or better in a single season, according to StatMamba.

Throughout her rookie year, Clark has shattered numerous records. In early July, facing the New York Liberty, she recorded a triple-double, a first for any rookie. Additionally, Clark set a record for the most assists in a single game with 19, achieved during the Fever’s last game before the Olympic break against the Dallas Wings.

In 29 games, Clark is averaging 17.9 points, 8.3 assists, and 5.7 rebounds on 41.4% shooting from the field and 32.9% from beyond the arc. Since the team returned from the Olympic break, she is scorching with 25 points, nine assists, and five rebounds on 47.2% shooting overall and 34.5% from downtown.

Despite the loss to the Lynx, Indiana stands firm in the playoff race. They are third in the Eastern Conference, nine games behind Connecticut and 1.5 games ahead of Chicago. They would be the seventh seed if the postseason started today.

The Fever (13-16) will look to bounce back from their loss to Minnesota when they face the Atlanta Dream a road matchup on Aug. 26 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
