Among the notable inclusions, Dylan Brown is set to make his much-anticipated return from a knee injury. He will don the No. 7 jumper and partner with Sandon Smith, who will transition to the five-eighth role. This change is expected to bolster the Knights’ offensive strategy as they prepare for a formidable opponent in the Roosters.

Fletcher Sharpe is set to make his debut at fullback this season, stepping into a pivotal role that could impact the team’s dynamics on the field. Fletcher Hunt will take on responsibilities in the centres, demonstrating the Knights’ adaptability as they navigate player positions due to injuries.

Tom Cant, who is leaving the starting lineup, will be replaced by Dylan Lucas, while Cody Hopwood and Francis Manuleleua also join the 17-man squad in light of Tyson Frizell’s unavailability. Additional new faces in the match-day roster include Kyle McCarthy and Peter Hola, who are anticipated to make significant contributions.

The reserve list comprises Tyson Gamble, Elijah Salesa-Leaumoana, and James Schiller, providing depth and options for the coaching staff as the game progresses.

As the nib Newcastle Knights prepare to face the Sydney Roosters, the anticipation mounts among fans and players alike. The team’s cohesion and strategy will be put to the test as they aim for a crucial victory in this competitive landscape.
