The Panthers may not have wanted to let Fale walk out the door. Fale wasn’t among theĀ 13 players announced as leaving the PanthersĀ at the club’s presentation night last month, which suggested they were keen to retain him.
Fale revealed he asked the club for a release when the Dragons came calling, and Penrith officials didn’t stand in his way as he seeks more first grade footy.

The Dragons have poached a number of emerging Panthers stars in 2025. The signing of Fale is the second time this year the Dragons have poached from the Panthers’ vaunted system. In July they confirmed the signings of twin 16-year-oldsĀ Alexander and Cornelius Pupualii. The twins are Penrith juniors and highly-regarded prospects.

Fale debuted at left centre and lined-up opposite NSW Blues centre and Dogs captain Stephen Crichton. And Fale impressed having held his own in the defeat. And Dragons coach Shane Flanagan came knocking having been impressed with the star’s versatility having signed him on a two-year deal.
