Emotional Farewell as Panthers Legend Moves On After 2025

As the 2025 NRL season draws to a close, the Penrith Panthers face not only the excitement of the upcoming finals but also the bittersweet farewell to one of their most iconic players — Isaah Yeo.

Yeo, who has been with the Panthers since his junior days, has announced that the 2025 season will be his last at the club. The news has left fans, teammates, and the wider rugby league community reflecting on his incredible journey and his contributions to the team.

Isaah Yeo: A True Penrith Legend

Isaah Yeo’s journey with the Penrith Panthers has been nothing short of remarkable. From making his debut in 2014 to becoming the heart and soul of the team, Yeo has epitomized what it means to be a Panther. His leadership, work ethic, and consistency on the field have made him one of the most respected forwards in the NRL.

Over the years, Yeo has played a pivotal role in Penrith’s success, including their dominant premiership runs in 2021, 2022, and 2023. His ability to play multiple positions in the forward pack, combined with his durability and knack for big-game moments, has cemented his status as a club legend.

The Emotional Farewell

The announcement of Yeo’s departure has sparked an outpouring of emotion from both the fans and his teammates. Known for his humble nature and dedication to the club, Isaah’s impact both on and off the field cannot be overstated. His leadership as the club’s captain has been invaluable, and his ability to inspire and bring the best out of his teammates has made him a key figure in Penrith’s golden era.

“It’s been an honor to represent Penrith for so many years,” Yeo said, fighting back tears during his announcement. “This club has been my family, and I’ll forever be grateful for everything it’s given me. But it’s time for a new chapter.”

For Penrith fans, the news is especially hard to take. Yeo has been a constant throughout the club’s rise to dominance in the NRL, and his departure marks the end of an era. Teammates like Nathan Cleary, Jarome Luai, and Tyrone May have all expressed their gratitude for Isaah’s leadership and his influence on their careers.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As 2025 ends and the Panthers say goodbye to one of their greatest ever players, the focus will quickly turn to the future. With Yeo leaving, Penrith will have some big shoes to fill, both on the field and in the leadership department. However, the club’s pipeline of young talent is as strong as ever, with emerging stars like Spencer Leniu and Scott Sorensen ready to step up and take on bigger roles.

The Panthers will also look to the future with the guidance of coach Ivan Cleary, who has built a culture of success and resilience at the club. Though Isaah Yeo’s departure leaves a huge gap, the foundation he helped lay will continue to guide Penrith forward for years to come.

A Lasting Legacy

Isaah Yeo leaves the Panthers with a legacy that will never be forgotten. His commitment to the club, his role in their historic premiership victories, and his leadership both on and off the field have made him a true legend of the game.

Penrith will never forget the memories Yeo helped create, and while 2025 will mark the end of his time at the club, his influence will live on for generations of Panthers fans.

Thank you, Isaah, for everything you’ve given to the Penrith Panthers. Your legacy as one of the club’s greatest ever players will remain etched in the hearts of all who supported you.
