The Penrith Panthers have confirmed that forward Preston Riki will be departing the club at the end of the 2025 NRL season after not being offered a new contract.
Already, one rival club — the New Zealand Warriors — is reportedly interested in the 195 cm second‑rower.
Riki has spent most of his time with Penrith playing in the NSW Cup, though he’s had a few first grade appearances. His departure is seen as an opportunity for both parties: the Panthers free up a squad spot and salary cap flexibility, while Riki gets a chance at a fresh start.
More details on his next destination are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
