St Helens host Castleford Tigers on Friday night and with the Red Vee set to finish fifth in Super League regardless, Paul Wellens has made a whopping seven changes.
Of those seven, only two are enforced as Alex Walmsley (HIA) and George Delaney (one-match ban) drop out, but they’re joined by five other key players, but none are half-backs.

The St Helens spine has been a major talking point and whilst hooker Daryl Clark does drop out, all of Jack Welsby, Tristan Sailor, Jonny Lomax, Moses Mbye and George Whitby are named to the 21-man squad.
All eyes will be on how Paul Wellens selects his spine for the game, which is effectively a dead rubber, but how much can be learned given how many big names are out is as yet unclear.

Joining Walmsley, Delaney and Clark on the sidelines are centres Mark Percival and Harry Robertson, as well as forwards Matty Lees and Curtis Sironen.
