Castleford Tigers have confirmed the signing of Mikaele Ravalawa.

Castleford Tigers have confirmed the signing of Fiji international and NRL winger Mikaele Ravalawa on a three-year deal starting from the 2026 Super League season.

The 27-year-old made his professional debut with St George Illawarra Dragons in 2019, having began his young career with Canberra Raiders. He boasts more than 100 games in the competition down under.

Castleford Tigers have confirmed the signing of Mikaele Ravalawa.

Ravalawa is currently on loan with South Sydney Rabbitohs, having made the NRL switch in March for the 2025 campaign. He has made just three appearances under Wayne Bennett.

He was set to return to the Dragons at the end of the current campaign, contracted until the end of the 2026 season, but will make the switch to England later this year.

The powerful outside-back has also won five international caps with Fiji, with his last appearance during the 2023 Pacific Bowl.

“I’m really excited to come and join a new team,” he said. “I was happy with the way they treated me; everything was really positive.

“I’m looking forward to getting ready to rip-in with the boys and experience a new county for the second time.”

Director of rugby Chris Chester had revealed on Thursday that the Tigers were set for a major announcement the next day, with Castleford’s squad set for a huge overhaul ahead of Ryan Carr’s arrival.

The club also recently confirmed the signing of Blake Taaffe from Canterbury Bulldogs on a three-year deal.

“I’m delighted that we’ve able to bring the quality of Mikaele over to the Castleford Tigers for the next three years,” Chester said.

“I think this signing shows how serious we are as a club to get things right on the field for 2026.

“Mika has a high work rate, great yardage carry and is also a proven try scorer at the highest level.

“I know Mika is really excited about joining up with Ryan Carr again and is really excited to taste the experience of playing at The OneBore stadium.”
