Brisbane Broncos hooker Cory Paix has signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2026 NRL season.
Paix had been the only specialist hooker in the Broncos’ top-30 squad without a contract beyond 2025, but strong performances this season helped secure his future. His signing comes as the club reshapes its dummy-half stocks, with Blake Mozer already locked in long-term and Tyson Smoothy expected to depart.
The Broncos see Paix as a key part of their forward rotation moving forward, and his re-signing brings stability to the spine as they look to build on a strong 2025 campaign.
“I’m grateful to stay at the club and excited to keep working hard for my teammates and the fans,” Paix said following the announcement.
The 25-year-old has made over 60 appearances for the Broncos since debuting in 2020 and continues to grow as a reliable option in the No. 9 jersey.
